[No Title]. This map of Texas was published by Rand McNally for its Atlas of the World. (Page Size: 11 1/4"" high x 14" wide). Unlike most 19th Century American maps this one is dated on its face, just below the border, at center: "Copyright 1895 by Rand, McNally & Co." It is an original relief line engraving. The colors are yellow, orange, pink, red and green. City and county names are clear and sharp. The map reflects all railroad lines. It is printed on both sides, with Oklahoma being presented on the reverse. The names of all counties and chief cities are printed in the margin, with a locating letter and number reference. The map also lists the population broken down by ethnic group. The map is in excellent condition.
