"Texas, Western Part," 1897, New York (Image: 15" high x 10 1/2" wide). This very detailed  map is dated on its face,  "Copyright, 1887 by The Century Co., New York." It is an original relief line engraving. The colors are yellow, blue, turquoise and red. City and county names are printed clearly. The map reflects all railroad lines and stations in detail. It is printed on only one side of a fold-out page. Railroad lines are shown in red. Each county is outlined in yellow. Inset map of "Galveston Bay, Galveston, Houston and Vicinity." The inset shows the San Jacinto Battleground and all rail lines coming into Galveston. Antiquarian style ornamental border. This map is in excellent condition on quality paper.
