"Eastern Half of Texas, "George F. Cram (for A.A. Grant), New York, 1887, from Grant’s Bankers and Brokers Railroad Atlas. (Image: 15 1/2" wide x 22 1/4" high). This very large railroad map is a rare copy of a shipping guide map published for Grant under license by George F. Cram. Twenty-Nine railroads are depicted in multicolor green, orange, gold, red, purple, with a chart of "Explanation." The railroad companies shown are: Austin & Northwestern; Colmesneil & Alexandria; Dallas, Pacific & Northeastern; Fort Worth & Rio Grande; Galveston & Western; Gulf, Colorado & Santa Fe; Houston, East & West Texas; Houston & Texas Central; International & Great Northern; Kildare & Linden; Lampasas & Southwestern; Mexican National; Missouri Kansas & Texas; Paris Marshall & Sabine Pass; Red River Sabine & Western; Rio Grande; Rio Grande & Eagle Pass; San Antonio & Aransas Pass; Southern Pacific; St. Louis, Arkansas & Texas; St. Louis & San Francisco; Texas, Sabine Valley & Northwestern; Texarkana & Ft. Smith; Texas & Pacific; Texas Trunk; Texas Western; Union Pacific; Weatherford, Mineral Wells & Northwestern; and Wichita Falls. This large, beautiful map has great detail.
