"Texas," George F. Cram (A.A. Grant), New York, 1887, from Grant’s Bankers and Brokers Railroad Atlas. (Image: 22 1/4" " wide x 15 1/2" high). This very large railroad map is a rare copy of a shipping guide map published for Grant under license by George F. Cram. The inset of this map is the northern half of the pan handle. It includes Greer County as part of Texas, rather than Oklahoma Territory. Greer County was taken by the federal government as part of the Oklahoma Territory in 1896, after the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Oklahoma v. Texas. Thirty-one named railroads are depicted in multicolor green, orange, gold, red, purple, with a chart of "Explanation." This large, beautiful map has great detail. Very good condition.
