"Western Half of Texas," George Franklin Cram, Chicago, 1891. (Image: 13 ½" wide x 20 1/4" high). Cerographic relief line engraving with counties in pastel colors of green, yellow, pink and gold. George Cram was a noted Civil War veteran, writer and illustrator who served with the 105th Illinois Infantry Regiment. He founded the publishing company with his uncle in 1867. This large map identifies all of the railway stations with station stops along the line. Each railroad company is also identified beside the rail route. Loving, Ward, Winkler, Reeves, Buchel, Crane and Brewster counties all appear on this map. The locations of a large number of lakes, ponds and springs are shown west of Tom Green County. The condition of this map is excellent.
