"Mexico" Joshua Archer, London, circa 1850. Publisher: H.G. Collins, London. Original outline coloring and shading. Quality heavy weight paper. (Image: 9" high x 11" wide on 10-1/2" x.12 3/4" page). Colors: pink, yellow and red. Scale: 1"=200 miles. Compass rose with Western Hemisphere as a medallion. Texas is depicted as being separate from the United States. The map is fairly detailed me interesting place names such as Belgrade, Port Caddo, Jaspe (sp.) Jonesboro, and Cincinnati and Carolina, both on the Trinidad River. Good condition, please note tears on bottom corners.
